This tune is loosely inspired by some of the slightly kitschier tunes like "Le Coiffeur" by Dexter Gordon, or "The Real Ambassador" by Dave Brubeck.

For this tune, I envision an old constable, strolling confidently (if a bit absent-mindedly) around the neighborhood. Karen pointed out that if you think of a standard two-feel as mimicking the constable's gait, the slight hiccup in the rhythm section in the beginning of the melody can be thought of as a bit of a limp. I love that image.
